Our 9 fantastic composers for ‘Our Living Rivers and Glens’ (Paul Anderson Adam Sutherland Charlie McKerron Arthur Coates Hamish Napier Fraser Fifield Iona Fyfe Jenny Sturgeon and Shona Donaldson) will feature in a free online finale gig including performances and interviews, alongside Gill Russell and Pete Stollery who curated the media map. We will also introduce and launch the beautiful new book at the gig. We’d love to see you there to celebrate the project! The broadcast will be LIVE on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/deedonceilidhcollective (follow us) and on our YouTube page https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC28H9uPkIKgU-VX_f99GbMA (please subscribe) at 7.30pm on Sunday 12th December.
A beautiful new book ‘Our Living Rivers and Glens’ is at the printers after some amazing design work by Gill Russell and Richy Lamb. It has imagery and words of sky, springs, waterways, trees, stones and people from the entries to the on-line media map, the sheet music with guitar chords for the new tunes and songs and named recognition for the 80 of you who have contributed to the project in so many different ways. The base price of the book is £10 plus postage and packing - there is an option to pay more if you are able, have loved this project and would like to support further events and projects from the Collective. We are aiming to ship during the week commencing 13th December - in time for festive gift giving - barring power cuts, paper shortages, pandemic variants and postal problems!
