Our Living Rivers and Glens - Google Earth media map

a musical exploration - wandering, connecting, inspiring, creating, sharing

You can catch up with our wonderful 2021 lockdown online project by:

  • exploring the input of our participants captured on our fascinating Google Earth  online map
  • listening to the new music from our wonderful composers through free streaming/downloading
  • watching the performances and interviews in the online finale event
  • purchasing the sheet music, imagery and words in our beautiful project legacy book

You can read about it in the The Press and Journal , the Traditional Music Forum and The Living Tradition.

The project has featured on twice on BBC Radio Scotland Travelling Folk and was chosen as Album of the Week by Neil King (FATEA) on his 'Along the Tracks' programme on Blues and Roots Radio.

The project was nominated for 'Community Project of the Year' at the 2021 Trad Awards and congratulated in a motion at the Scottish Parliament with cross-party support.

Project steered by Steve Garrett, Gill Russell, Janet Fitton, Pete Stollery and Karin Paterson.
